FROM THE SCIENCE ROOM
It is an exciting time as we get our Science Room up and running.
This term the whole school focus is Physical Science: Force, Energy and Motion.
The Preps have been learning about things that move and describing how they move – they even played a game of ‘Musical Statues’ and found out that our eyes still move even when we are standing still.
Classes 1/2A & B have been learning about push and pull forces. They did an experiment to find out what happens when you try to push a basketball under the water.
Class 3/4A have also been learning about push-pull forces.
They experimented with rolling cans and talked about the different-sized forces needed to move and stop them.
Classes 4/5A and 5/6A have been learning about circuits and electricity. They pulled apart a torch and drew a cutaway diagram to show their findings.
