OUTSTANDING JUNIOR SCHOOL LEARNERS

On Tuesday, Mr Montgomerie and I had the pleasure of accompanying Victor B, Brandon Y, Kent S and Felix HS to a special morning tea with Mr Ronchetti in recognition of their exceptional Term 1 report results. These students should be commended for the outstanding self-management, application, independent learning and cooperative behaviour they have consistently demonstrated during their time at the College this year. Congratulations to all four students on this well-deserved recognition.

SYDNEY EISTEDDFOD

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of heading over to the Concourse to watch our Junior School Intermediate Concert Band perform at the Sydney Eisteddfod. It was wonderful to see our largest ensemble ever take to the stage at the eisteddfod, performing with such enthusiasm and confidence. Congratulations to all of the students involved, and thank you to Mr Sismey and Mr Saar for their dedication and support in preparing the band for this special opportunity.

RECONCILIATION ASSEMBLY

Thank you to Mrs Scanlon for her thoughtful organisation of our Reconciliation Day Ceremony yesterday. This year’s presenters were both engaging and entertaining, and students and staff alike gained a deeper understanding of the ways Aboriginal peoples honour their Elders and pass down traditions, stories and culture from generation to generation.

Thank you for your continued support of the Junior School.

Upcoming Events

Junior Athletics Carnival

The Junior School Athletics Carnival is fast approaching, and we’re looking forward to a fantastic day of participation, energy, and House spirit.

Students will have the opportunity to compete in a range of track and field events throughout the day. There is no pre-registration required for events, with students able to nominate on the day for all activities. Please note that participation in both the 200m and 100m races is compulsory for all students.

A detailed parent letter will be shared shortly outlining specific arrangements for the day.

We will once again be seeking parent assistance to help run events. Any parents volunteering will be required to provide a valid Working With Children Check number and date of birth prior to the carnival for verification. Your support is greatly appreciated in helping make the day a success.

Following the carnival, a squad will be selected to attend training sessions at Dunbar Park. From this training group, nominations will be made for Invitationals, with the final IPSHA representative team for 2026 selected thereafter.
