L.O.T.E. - German

Guten Tag!

The Soccer World Cup 2026 is starting this week! Germans love their soccer, that’s why it was all about soccer in German class this week! Students learnt important soccer words like Tor (goal), Trikot (jersey), Pokal (trophy) and Fußball (soccer/ soccer ball). We talked about the Socceroos, the Matildas and the German national team and their national colours on the jerseys.

Thank you to our LOTE captain Charlie who will update World Cup results for everyone on a poster in the LOTE room window.

Last week, the younger students learnt German body parts with songs, games and a little take-home booklet. Hopefully families have been hearing words like, Fuß, Arm, Hand, Bein and Nase at home!
