Student Advisory Committee (SAC)

At the recent School Advisory Council meeting, the Council spent significant time reviewing and discussing the Child Safe Standards and the extensive work undertaken by the school to maintain compliance and foster a safe environment for all students. The discussion highlighted the breadth of the Standards and the school’s ongoing commitment to ensuring child safety across all aspects of school life — including physical, emotional, cultural and psychological wellbeing. The Council acknowledged the substantial systems, staff training, policies and practices in place to support a strong child safe culture throughout the school community. The School Advisory Council also discussed the school’s continued commitment to maintaining a straight grade structure where possible. Following consultation and the ongoing planning by school leadership, the Council is supportive of the current approach and understands the intention is to continue with straight grades over the coming years where enrolment numbers and operational requirements allow.
