Fight MND Fundraiser

Thank You from the Student Leadership Team!

Last Friday, our school came together in a big way for a cause that truly matters. Our Student Leadership Team hosted a Fight MND Fundraiser Day in support of FightMND, an Australian charity dedicated to funding research and care for those living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

The day was filled with energy and community spirit. Students showed up in their finest free dress, fuelled themselves at the sausage sizzle, and eagerly chased their luck in the raffle, a special thank you to Royal Stacks in Croydon for their generous prize donation, which made the raffle one to remember.

But the undeniable highlight of the day? The Teacher Ice Bucket Challenge. Students bid for the privilege of pouring an icy bucket of water over their teachers, with Mr. Chappell, Mr. Starr, Mr. Shannon, Mr. Franes, Ms. Robbins, Mr. O'Brien, Mr. Lynch, and Mr. Holland all bravely stepping up to get soaked for a great cause. The highest bidders won the honours, and judging by the reactions, it was well worth every dollar.

Every cent raised goes directly to FightMND to fund vital medical research, clinical trials, and improved support for families affected by MND. Founded in 2014 by the late Neale Daniher, the charity has become one of Australia's most beloved causes, best known for events like the Big Freeze at the MCG.

A huge thank you to every student and staff member who participated, donated, and cheered on the day. Your generosity makes a real difference to thousands of Australians living with this devastating disease.

Cold buckets. Warm hearts. Big impact."
