Senior B Grade Cricket Year 4/5

A Successful and Enjoyable Term of Cricket!

This term, the Year 4/5 cricket team came together seamlessly from the first game. I was particularly impressed with the players' ability to absorb new information and implement it in game situations, especially without the benefit of being able to train.

I saw improvement from every player and one of the most rewarding aspects was their sportsmanship and the encouragement they showed each other throughout the term.

We played five matches this term, securing four wins and one loss, an outstanding achievement for a group of players experiencing cricket with a harder ball, gloves, pads, helmets and more for the first time.

Josh led the way with the bat making 64 runs, whilst Xavier was handy with the ball taking 11 wickets across the season.

A big thank you to Albert, Brock, Darby, Josh, Kanai, Rudy, Tyson, and Xavier for your efforts. It has been a pleasure to coach you all.

A-Grade CricketSeason Summary

The A-grade cricket team continued to impress in this short season. Andreas, Arinjay, Bryan, Fletcher, Jaxon, Jonte, Logan, Rowdy, and Zac showed real determination and improvement with the bat, while their team spirit was again on display at each game. Just as pleasing was the way they embrace the spirit of cricket, playing hard yet fair. A season highlight was their first game on a turf pitch! Despite the wet conditions, the turf pitch provided a terrific contest and a great experience. Wet games couldn’t dampen their enthusiasm but missing games due to weather forecasts was tough. A pleasure to coach, congratulations boys. Thanks to all the parents who help each week.
