Message from the Deputies

Deputies Update – Week 1

The Deputy Principals would like to warmly welcome all students, families and staff back to Term 2. We hope everyone enjoyed a safe and refreshing break and is ready for another busy and rewarding term at Balmoral State High School.

There is already much to celebrate. Our recent Cross Country was a fantastic day of participation, house spirit and encouragement, with students giving their best and supporting one another throughout the event. We also acknowledge the outstanding way our students represented Balmoral at ANZAC Day ceremonies, including the student service in the city, commemorations at some of our local primary schools, and our own school service held today.

Our school ANZAC service was a particularly proud moment. Students performed and presented with respect, confidence and maturity, and the audience demonstrated the solemnity and thoughtfulness such an occasion deserves. It was a strong reflection of the character of our student body and the values we continue to build across the school.

As the term gets underway, we encourage families to keep an eye out for information about several important upcoming events, including our Open Day and Parent Teacher Interviews. These events provide valuable opportunities to connect with staff, celebrate learning and strengthen the partnership between home and school.

We look forward to a positive Term 2 filled with learning, connection, high expectations and continued pride in our Balmoral community

Regards,

Mick Baker

Deputy Principal
