Carnevale
Pops of colour and good tunes were the key ingredients to a fantastic Carnevale celebration this week. Students paraded their Carnevale masks that they created during Language class.
Carnevale is an Italian celebration that is held prior to Lent. We loved seeing all the student’s beautiful creations and the smiles on their faces while they showed off their great work.
Shrove Tuesday
To quote one of our students as they received their pancake today…”this is the best day of my life!” Students were treated to a pancake with toppings of their choice to celebrate Shrove Tuesday.
Shrove Tuesday marks an important occasion for the Catholic faith. It is held on the day before Lent begins, which takes place in the lead up to Easter. Lent will begin tomorrow on Ash Wednesday.
