Restoring Spirit on Country and Jarbies Youth Program

On Friday 7th November, a group of our Year 7 girls had the opportunity to attend the Restoring Spirit on Country and Jarbies Youth Program, a cultural awareness workshop designed to build understanding, respect, and connection to Country.

Students participated in a range of activities exploring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, learning about traditional stories, language, and practices from local Elders and cultural leaders. They also began creating their own artifacts, inspired by what they learned during the workshop.

The day encouraged reflection, creativity, and pride, empowering our young people to grow their cultural awareness and appreciation for the rich heritage of the land we live and learn on.
