Student Free days

Don't forget, Monday and Tuesday, November 3 & 4, are both student-free days.  No school on those days.

Melbourne Show Success

You will have heard of the great success our students enjoyed at the recent Melbourne Royal Show.  We will briefly acknowledge place getters and special award winners this Wednesday (5th) in our assembly.  As always, parents are welcome to join us for assembly.  A display of all of the artwork that earned a place at the show has been prepared in our art room.  This will be available for viewing at the end of our assembly.

New Teachers

We're excited to welcome two new teachers to our school.  Mrs Leverne Bennett has been at school already for a few weeks, working in different lower primary classrooms.  Mrs Lureeze Morolong will commence with us in the coming days.  We offer them a very warm welcome, and we look forward to their contribution.

For the next few weeks, Mrs Bennett will be working with the ABCs students and Mrs Morolong will be working with the Aleph class.   Classroom assignments for all of our teachers in 2026 are still to be confirmed.

Staff Changes

Mrs Miriam Trinkle will be finishing up with MCC at the end of the school year.  She and her family will be moving out of the district.  We're sad to see her go, but we're thankful for her great contribution to the life of our school and our students over the last couple of years.

Not a departure as such, but Mrs Shayna Carter will be taking maternity leave very soon.  The birth of her child is imminent.  We pray God's blessing and peace over Mrs Carter and her husband as they look forward to the new arrival.

Re Enrolment

Recently, parents were asked to confirm their child's enrolment at MCC in 2026.  Most have done this. Thank you for that.  If you are yet to respond, please do so asap.  Our 2026 Fee Schedule can be downloaded below.

Scholarship Fund

If your family is facing financial pressure and the payment of school fees is too great a burden, please make an application for a 2026 scholarship.  Applications are due no later than November 7.  Download an application form below.

Year 10 Graduation

We're looking forward to our Year 10 Graduation on Thursday, December 4.  This year, the graduation will be held at Vanden Estate.  Parents of Year 10s will be sent further information in the next few days.

Presentation Night

Our end-of-year Presentation Night will be held once again at the Mildura Arts Centre.  There will be awards for achievement over the course of the year as well as several performances, including our major performance, The Prodigal Clown.  Plan to bring some family and friends along.  It will all be free.  It's on Wednesday, December 10.

All students are expected to attend Presentation Night, and all students have some sort of role in our musical production. Some are singing solos, or acting a specific role, or have a specific task that must be done by them. If they cannot be there on the night, we'll need to reassign that role to someone else.  We understand that, even if trying to avoid it, some families may have other commitments that require them to miss Presentation Night and/or the rehearsals in the days prior. If that is the case for your family, please be sure to let us know as soon as possible.
