Mildura Schools Land Trust

Did you know our school benefits each year from the Mildura Schools Lands Trust (often known as College Lease)? This community trust has been supporting schools and students across Sunraysia for over a century.
Each year, our school receives funding from the Trust to support special projects and improvements that directly benefit our students. Last year (2024), we received $16,236, which our School Board used to purchase new technology and enhance several learning spaces.
This funding is in addition to the money we receive from government sources and student fees, allowing us to provide even more opportunities for our students.
The Mildura Schools Lands Trust was established in 1916 and is one of the most unique community education trusts in Australia. It owns 183 parcels of land across the city of Mildura and the original irrigation district. These lands are leased commercially, and the rent collected is distributed evenly among every primary and secondary school in Sunraysia — meaning every student benefits.
The Trust is carefully managed by the Mildura Schools Lands Beneficiaries Committee, working alongside State Trustees, the Department of Education, and our local community to protect and grow this resource for future generations. If you’d like to learn more, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office.
