ATTENDANCE
Our whole-school attendance rate remains strong at 93%, and we thank our learners and families for their ongoing commitment to regular school attendance.
Every day at school matters. Consistent attendance helps learners build strong relationships with their peers and teachers, establish positive learning routines, and make steady academic and social progress. Even missing a small number of days can impact learning over time, so every day counts!
BEHAVIOUR
We are pleased to report that student behaviour across SME continues to remain positive. Compared with the same time last year, behaviour incidents remain lower, reflecting our learners' ongoing commitment to demonstrating our school values each day.
We encourage all learners to seek support whenever they are feeling unsure or experience an issue in the yard. Staff wearing high-visibility vests are on duty throughout every break and are there to help. We have more than the expected number of staff supervising our playgrounds at any one time, ensuring that learners have access to support whenever they need it. Thank you to our learners for continuing to make positive choices and helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for everyone.
HOLIDAY SUPPORT
As we head into the two-week break, we wish all of our families a safe and restful holiday. We understand that holidays can sometimes bring unexpected challenges. If your family requires support during this time, please don't hesitate to reach out to Jasmine Ryan or Liz Chapman via their emails shared below. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for another great term!
