NAPLAN
NAPLAN results for students in Year 3 and Year 5 who participated in the March assessments have now been received by the school. Individual Student Reports (ISRs) were sent home with students on Friday.
We are incredibly proud of our students for their outstanding achievements in this year’s NAPLAN assessments. Their results reflect not only academic growth but also hard work, determination, and resilience. A special thank you to our dedicated teachers and supportive families who help create the rich learning environment that makes success possible.
Year 5 families are asked to keep their child's NAPLAN in a safe place, as most secondary schools will require a copy with Year 7 enrolment applications.
Prep 100 Days Celebrations
We are excited to let you know that on Wednesday 29th July, we will be celebrating a very special milestone for our Preps. — 100 Days of School!
To mark this occasion, Prep students are invited to wear anything related to the number 100 (eg. dressed as a 100 year old, have a top with 100 spots, wear a sport jumper with the number 100 on the back).
As part of the day we will also be counting 100 items. We are asking that all students bring in 100 of one item in a bag (eg. 100 paper clips, 100 fruit loops, 100 buttons, 100 stickers, 100 pieces of pasta). Please do not feel the need to go out and buy 100 items for this activity as the items can be anything small from around the house.
Book Week - 22 - 28 August
On Friday 28th August, at Assembly, our school will come together to celebrate Book Week.
All students are invited to dress up as their favourite book character or wear a costume inspired by this year's theme. This year's theme, 'A Symphony of Stories', celebrates the way diverse characters, ideas, and words come together just like the instruments in an orchestra to create rich and memorable stories.

Art Show
Preparations for this year's Art Show are well underway, with Mrs Santoro already hard at work bringing together what promises to be a wonderful celebration of creativity at St Andrews.
Be sure to save the date: Tuesday 1st September as we come together to celebrate the incredible artistic talents of our students. We can't wait to share it with our community.
School Fee Statements
Accounts for Term 3 were emailed to families this week.

School Attendance
Going to school every day is the most important part of your child’s education. We pride ourselves on the partnership we have with our families and hope that families will continue working with us to support their child’s regular attendance at school.
If your child is experiencing wellbeing or personal challenges preventing them from engaging with school each and every day, please reach out. We can work with families to support their child’s attendance and help families.
Parents are reminded to log all absences via Audiri and to advise the school office of any upcoming extended absences.
When your child misses one day per week, they miss eight full weeks of learning each year. That significantly impacts their learning and has implications for their progression.
School Uniform donations
Do you have any outgrown winter school uniforms at home? You can drop your donations at the school office. Please ensure that all donations are clean and in good condition.
Student Dress Code
Students are expected to wear full school uniform with black school shoes and sports uniform with runners ONLY on sports days.
Please be reminded that students are not permitted to wear decorative jewellery.
Stud earrings, sleepers worn in the ears and watches are the only acceptable jewellery.
Hair longer than shoulder length, for both boys and girls, needs to be tied back.
Mobile Phones
All students who bring a mobile phone into the school are to check their mobile phone in at the school office.
They can collect at the end of the day.
Lost Property
Lost Property is stored in the blue bin located near the front entrance door. It is the student’s responsibility to promptly collect any lost property.
Clearly labelled items are returned to their owners and unlabelled items are donated to the Uniform Shop at the end of each Term.
Please encourage your child to take responsibility for their uniform and to check that they bring home their own clothing only, and not the uniform items of other students.
No Parking/Access to the Staff Car Park
We request that parents do not access the school staff car park at any time during the school day. We have had concerns raised by staff of children walking through the car park as staff either arrive or leave throughout the day. We also have limited staff parking and require parents do not take up staff car parks. Please support our school and keep our children safe by using the crossings and not choosing to cross in other areas.
School Crossings
We ask that all students and parents to use the School Crossings that are clearly marked and manned as these are safe ways to cross the road.
