Holy Spirit's 50th Birthday Mass

We are looking forward to celebrating our 50th birthday mass this Sunday the 9th of August at 9:00am. The mass will be presided by Bishop Thinh. Morning Tea will be provided.

Feast of the Assumption mass

Next Friday 15/8 there will be a whole school mass at 11:40am to celebrate the Feast fo the Assumption. The Assumption of Mary into heaven is a holy day in the church year.

Pope Francis said “that  Mary's witness is a reminder to praise God each day, as the Mother of God did in her Magnificat prayer in which she exclaimed: "My soul glorifies the Lord."

If, like Mary, we remember the great things that the Lord does, if at least once a day we 'magnify', we glorify God, then we take a great step forward ... our hearts will expand,  joy will increase”.

Parish News

This weekend we celebrate Holy Spirit School’s 50th Anniversary with a special mass on Sunday at 9.00.  The principal celebrant is Bishop Thinh and we have many special guests who will be attending.  The mass will be followed by a morning tea where you can mingle with past and present staff, students and Parish Priests.  We hope to see as many school families as possible.

Next Saturday 15th August is the Feast of the Assumption.  A mass will be held in the Chapel on that Saturday morning at 9.15 am to celebrate this special Feast Day.

Don’t forget to get your fete raffle tickets sold and monies returned.  Great prizes are on offer this year and tickets are just $3.00 each.  The Fete Committee really appreciates everyone’s support in this major fund raiser.

A reminder that Tuesday 11th August is Census night.  Don’t forget to fill out and submit your forms which will help to shape our future.

Have a lovely weekend.

Blessings from the Parish House.
