STUDENT ILLNESS

T2 2025

As winter is well and truly now here and illnesses like the flu and COVID become more common in our community, we kindly ask that you keep your children at home if they show symptoms such as fever, coughs/congestion, vomiting or an upset stomach.

Keeping unwell children at home not only aids in their quick recovery but also helps prevent the spread of illness to other students and staff. This considerate action contributes to a healthy school environment, ensuring all children can learn and play safely.

Additionally, as the winter season progresses, when staff members fall ill, it may become increasingly challenging to find relief staff. In this situation and as a last resort, we may need to split children into other classes if a relief teacher is unavailable. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in this matter, to keep our school community safe and healthy.

Please let your child’s class teacher or the front office know if your child is unwell.
