Advent
Advent begins this Sunday, marking the start of the four-week church year that prepares for Christmas. This season is a time of reflection, anticipation, and prayer, focused on themes of hope, peace, joy, and love. On the first Sunday, the first Advent candle, the candle of hope, will be lit.
The word "Advent" means "coming". It is a time for people to prepare for the celebration of the birth of Jesus.
The four themes of Advent—hope, peace, joy, and love—guide us through a season of meaningful reflection and spiritual preparation. As each week unfolds, these themes encourage us to align our hearts with the message of Christ's birth, deepening our understanding of his presence in our lives.
