Year Two News 

Year Two students have been very busy adding to their knowledge of writing narratives. We learnt about language features such as 'The Power of 3' and similes to make our writing more interesting. Students followed the writing process by creating characters, using a Story Mountain and planning book, then putting the narrative together in a draft. We used our knowledge of sentences to reread our writing before publishing. Finished narratives are up on display in the Year Two classrooms ahead of the Special Persons Assembly and Open Afternoon next week.

Students have been very busy preparing for the Open Afternoon by choosing what they feel is their best pieces of work to put into their Learning Portfolio. We have been doing some other special activities in preparation for the Assembly as well. We can't wait to see our Special People at Assembly next Friday afternoon!
