Principal's Report 

 We, at Miners Rest Primary School, would like to acknowledge the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin Nation.

We pay our respects and thank the Wadawurrung people. May we share your land. We promise to look after it, as well as the animals and people too.

Thank a First Responder Day

Wednesday June 10 is the day Australia recognises and gives thanks to all First Responders across our country. On behalf of Miners Rest K-6, I would like to sincerely thank all of the First Responders within our school community. Thank you for your service and we appreciate all that you do each and every day. Thank you!

Appropriate Communication Channels

Communication with families is very important to us and we are continuously striving to improve our communication practices between home and school. Our families can support our communication processes by understanding the approriate platforms for communication.

Using the Sentral Communication Platform, or school email, are the correct platforms for all communication with staff regarding matters to be addressed, requests or seeking a meeting.

SeeSaw is used for celebration of student work and for reminders only. SeeSaw is not used as a communication platform.

We thank you for your support as we strengthen our communication processes at our school.

Semester One Reports

Miners Rest Primary School will be providing student achievement reports for Semester One this year as usual.

The reports will be distributed on June 25.

The reports will continue to provide important details about student learning attainment, but full descriptive comments will not be included as a result of industrial action taken earlier this term by the Australian Education Union.

Classroom teachers will of course be pleased to discuss with you your child’s progress at our next Student Led Conferences, scheduled for September 16, or, as always, you can contact the school to arrange a meeting with your child’s teacher.

Special Persons' Assembly

We look forward to seeing our school community, and all of our special people in our lives join us next Friday to be acknowledged for how much you mean to us!
