Celebrating Wellbeing in 2025

As we wrap up the school year, I would like to thank all the staff, students and families for their continual support of wellbeing at CPS.

We are incredibly proud of our students and grateful for the strong partnership with families and the commitment of staff in creating a safe, inclusive and supportive school environment. We look forward to building on this positive momentum in 2026 with further work on School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) and other wellbeing initiatives.

As the holidays begin, we wish all families a joyful, restful break filled with connection, play and time together. I have included below some holiday activity suggestions for families to enjoy over the holiday break.

Local Outdoor options

  • Caulfield Park – Picnics, playgrounds, walks and open space to play
  • Booran Reserve (Glen Huntly) – Water play, climbing equipment and bike paths
  • Princes Park / Glen Huntly Park – Great local playgrounds and green spaces
  • Caulfield Racecourse Reserve – Walking, riding and family games

Indoor & All-Weather Options

  • LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre (Chadstone) – Creative indoor play
  • Melbourne Museum – Children’s Gallery – Hands-on learning and exploration
  • SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium – A classic family day out
  • TwistED Science (Moorabbin) – Interactive science fun
  • Labassa Mansion – A fascinating historic mansion to explore.

Events & Shows

  • Melbourne’s Christmas Wonderland (until Dec 24th) — festive lights, installations, rides and Santa’s Village at Caulfield Racecourse during December (bookings required).
  • School holiday performances & activities around Melbourne including theatre shows like Shrek the Musical, interactive ballet, and creative workshops.
  • Check your local Glen Eira library or community centre for free or low-cost holiday workshops and reading challenges.

Day Trips & Mini Escapes

If you’re able to head a bit further:

  • Scenic picnics and bushwalks in regional parks like the You Yangs or Lerderderg State Park.
  • Day trip to Geelong Waterfront & Geelong Carousel — classic carousel rides and seaside fun.

Have a safe and happy holiday break, see you in 2026!
