Book Week

Get ready for a week full of stories, creativity, characters and fun!
Book Week is happening in Week 7, with our exciting Book Week Parade (Dress-Up Day) on Friday 28 August.
This year’s theme, “A Symphony of Stories”, celebrates the wonderful way characters, stories and genres come together to create a harmonious and imaginative reading experience — just like the different instruments in an orchestra! 🎻📖
Students are encouraged to come dressed as one of their favourite book characters. Your character does not need to match the Book Week theme, just choose a character from a book you love!
Get creative and enter our Book Week competition!
Prep - Year 2: Design your own bookmark.
Years 3 - 6: Design your own unique book cover.
Templates are available from the library. Completed designs can be handed in to the library by Friday 21 August.
🎉 Winners and prizes will be announced at assembly on Friday 28 August! We’ll also be celebrating some fantastic costumes on the day, with the best dressed students receiving a special shout out at assembly!
✍️ SPECIAL AUTHOR VISIT!
We are very excited to welcome Leigh Hobbs, the famous and beloved Australian author and creator of characters including Old Tom, Mr Chicken and Horrible Harriet, to our school on Tuesday 25 August!
There is no gold coin donation needed, everyone is invited to participate. Bring your creativity and get ready to learn how to make and draw some fun characters! 🎨
We hope you’re looking forward to an amazing Book Week! Don’t forget to dress up, get creative and, most importantly, READ LOTS OF BOOKS! 📚✨
