School Captains Report

TASTE OF SCHOOL

The school captains are helping with our Taste of School session for our new Preps for 2027. The Preps were very enthusiastic and were so excited to be at school. 

CULTURAL DIVERSITY

A reminder tomorrow -  Thursday May 21st -  children can come to school wearing clothes from their culture that represents their family heritage. All families are welcome to join us for the parade in the school yard at 9am to have a look at the amazing interpretations of students’ cultural heritage. We are looking forward to our cannoli and pizza and doing special activities in the classroom. Thank you to Ms Daniela for organising this special day.

GRANT RESOURCES

Thank you to Toyota for donating $2000 to our school community. We are very excited to get some new resources for our school. This will help make learning more enjoyable and fun. 

CROSS COUNTRY

There has been a change of date for Cross Country due to unforeseen circumstances. The new date is Thursday 28th May.

5/6 EXCURSION 

Last Friday 5/6 students set out on an exciting adventure to the Mary MacKillop Centre, the Fitzroy Gardens and St Patrick’s Cathedral. We learnt so much about Mary MacKillop, our first Australian Saint. We learnt a lot from Sister Rita. St Patrick’s cathedral was very big and the stained glass windows were beautiful. We learnt many interesting facts about it, one being that the cathedral was originally designed to be shaped  like a cross.  Thank you to all the teachers for making this happen and to Mrs Di Noto for taking time out of her day to come. 

CONFIRMATION

Next week on Thursday 28th May some 5/6 students will be receiving the sacrament of Confirmation. This is a very important and sacred moment in the Catholic tradition. Please keep these children in your prayers.
