Principal's Report

Dear Parents/Guardians and friends of Nazareth

As we approach the end of the semester, there are some important dates I would like to bring to your attention.

The Examination period has now commenced.  Students are expected to have all the required materials, arrive on time and be thoroughly prepared to ensure they maximise their examination experience.  Key dates to note:

• Year 10 and 11 examinations commenced on Fri 5 June
• Year 9 examinations begin next week
• Year 11 and 12 GAT Tue 16 June

Last Thursday, we celebrated the annual Social Justice Mass.  I sincerely thank our families for supporting those in need by contributing food items. We will continue accepting donations until the end of the term.  I would also like to thank all our St Vincent de Paul Ambassadors for their initiative and coordination of this food drive.  In the coming weeks a St Vincent de Paul Society representative will collect the food items and distribute them to those in most need within our community.

Mass was followed by an Assembly where we acknowledged our current Scholarship recipients.  I congratulate each of these students and their families on their dedication and commitment to extracurricular activities.  Scholarships are awarded annually, so I encourage students and families who believe they may qualify to register their interest and participate in the Edu Testing process (information available on the College website).  We also acknowledged many sporting awards presented at the Assembly.  We have so many sporting opportunities available to our students and it is wonderful to see them excel when they take up the challenge.  I applaud them.
