Basketball
Last week, our Grade 6 boys' and girls' basketball teams proudly represented St Mary’s at the Division Basketball Championships. Both teams showed fantastic effort, determination and sportsmanship throughout the day.
Our girls' team did an outstanding job, particularly considering that only two students in the team had played basketball before! The girls worked hard, supported one another and continued to develop their skills throughout the competition. It was fantastic to see their willingness to learn, give everything a go and work together as a team. Well done, girls — you should be incredibly proud of your efforts!
Our boys' team also had a great day, working well together and displaying some excellent teamwork on the court. They competed strongly throughout the competition and were extremely unlucky to miss out on a place in the finals and the opportunity to progress to the Regional Championships.
A huge congratulations to all of our Grade 6 students who represented St Mary’s. Regardless of the results, both teams demonstrated the importance of teamwork, perseverance and giving your best. You represented our school with pride, and we are very proud of you all!
Well done, St Mary’s! 🏀
