Division Athletics

Last Thursday, a team of nine Kalinda students competed at the Maroondah/Manningham Division Athletics Carnival:

• Ava B
• Sophie B
• Ryder D
• Scarlett H
• Toby H
• Brock H
• Lachlan J
• Kai M
• Emily N

All athletes performed exceptionally well and should be extremely proud of their efforts. Competing at Division level is a huge achievement in itself, and it was fantastic to see our students represent Kalinda so well.

A special congratulations to Ryder D, who finished 1st in the 9/10 Year Old Boys Hurdles; Kai M, who finished 2nd in the 12/13 Year Old Boys Discus; and Brock H, who finished 2nd in the 12/13 Boys Long Jump.

Finishing in the top two earns these athletes an invitation to compete at the next level, the Eastern Metropolitan Regional Athletics Finals.

This competition will be held this Thursday. We wish Ryder, Kai and Brock the very best of luck and look forward to hearing how they go!
