PBL Focus Weeks 1-2 Term 2: Assembly Behaviour

In the first two weeks of Term 2, our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) focus has been on demonstrating respectful and responsible behaviour during our school assemblies. We have been encouraging all students to practice whole body listening—this means facing the speaker, keeping hands and feet still, and making eye contact. Students have also been reminded to clap politely and appropriately, showing appreciation in a way that doesn't disrupt the assembly.

During the singing of the national anthem, students stand with their hands by their sides and sing with pride. Entering and exiting the COLA area quietly helps maintain a respectful atmosphere for everyone.

As we reflect on our recent ANZAC Day assembly, students demonstrated respectful behaviour by observing the solemnity of the occasion, including refraining from applause during the ceremony. These practices help create a meaningful and respectful assembly experience for all members of our school community.

Thank you for your support in reinforcing these important values at home.
