Mother’s Day is a special opportunity to celebrate mums, grandmothers, carers and all those who show us love, care and guidance each day. Their quiet support, encouragement and generosity help shape who we are and who we are becoming. In our Catholic tradition, we also look to Mary, the mother of Jesus, as a model of faith, courage and trust.

Next week, we will also celebrate Laudato Si’ Week, inspired by Laudato Si', where Pope Francis invited us to care for our common home. This week encourages us to notice the beauty of creation and to reflect on how our everyday choices can help protect and care for the world around us.

Together, these moments remind us of the importance of care, gratitude and responsibility for the people in our lives and for the world we share.
