From the Principal

It is hard to believe that this is our last Chatter for 2025, with the next two editions dedicated to our Valedictory Ceremony next week, and then our Year 11 Academic Awards Assembly and Scholarships Afternoon Tea in Week 6.

Term 4 always brings a different feel to the College, as many of our Year 12s finish up at the end of Term 3. This period provides our Year 11s with the opportunity to step into leadership roles and continue building on the positive culture within the College. Each year, we work closely with our Student Council to make the most of this time, to gather feedback and enhancing student experiences and opportunities for the year ahead.

At today’s assembly, I announced the 2026 Dorm and Sports Captains. These newly established leadership positions include six dorm captains and two sports captains. These roles will add an extra layer of support for all students, strengthen student voice, and provide valuable leadership development opportunities for those elected.

2026 Timetable Changes

Thank you to all of the incoming and continuing parents and students who joined us for the timetable updates. Although there may be some adjustments required for these changes, we know that overall, this structure will benefit all students positively moving forward.

2026 Ball Date

The parent and student votes are in, and with 25% not phased on the date, 25% voting to keep it where it is, and 50% requesting the Ball be held earlier in the term. The date of the 2026 College Ball will be Saturday August 1 (Week 2), with a School Development Day scheduled for the Friday before. Thanks to those who provided feedback.

WACE Exams

I would like to recognise our dedicated ATAR students currently sitting their WACE exams. So far, they have completed Agricultural Science and Technology, English, with Mathematics Applications and Agribusiness scheduled for Thursday and Friday. We wish them every success and are confident their efforts will pay off well into the future.

Thank You

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank our students, staff, parents and wider College community on a highly successful 2025.

To our students, you have demonstrated commitment to your studies and shown pride in your College and your achievements. To our wonderfully dedicated staff across all areas, your contribution toward each and every student's success here at the College is impossible to measure. And to our families and wider College community, thank you for your unwavering support, feedback and guidance as we work toward making our College greater and greater each year.

Wishing you all a prosperous harvest, and a fantastic Christmas break ahead.
