Student Leadership

As the year comes to an end, we want to take a minute to reflect and express our gratitude. The feeling of stepping out of this role, and into a different learning environment is a surreal and melancholic feeling. Leaving all the new people we’ve gotten closer to behind, to continue our next chapter of life.
This year has been up there as one of our favourites. Being the student leaders this year has been the most rewarding experience of our life. Having the opportunity to work alongside numerous staff and students has constantly inspired us with their dedication, kindness and support. To our teachers, thank you for your patience, aid and putting up with us even when we are somewhat of a handful. You have taught us lessons that go far beyond the classroom.
To our friends and peers, thank you for making our high school experience something that will forever live on with us. All the laughs, stressed studying and endless memories, you guys have made this journey special. We are genuinely grateful to be reminisced about such an outgoing and incredible group of people.
Being school captains has truly shown us what it means to be a leader, it was never about the badge (that, in some cases, have been misplaced) or the title, but it was about showing up, listening and helping you guys project your voice. We hope that we’ve been able to achieve that, even in the smallest ways.
As we move onto the next chapter of life, we are proud to leave behind a college community that we know will continue to grow, support one another and accomplish great things. Edgars Creek will always feel like a second home to us.
Thank you all for this unforgettable adventure. It has been our honour and privilege to serve as your school captains.
Kindest of Regards,
Awaan “Waany” Pathan, Bobby “Bobstar” Lambevski, Divjot “Div” Kaur and Jaylan “J-Dawg” Needham
