Music

In music, we have begun exploring resources associated with an upcoming incursion from Musica Viva Australia titled “Moon Radio Hour”. Three Sydney-based musicians are touring their show around Australia and we will be lucky to have them visit us for a show in Term 3.
From Musica Viva:
“Moon Radio Hour takes students on an imaginative fast-paced journey through space, time and the unexpected! Paired with saxophones, guitars and an electronic sampler, the result is a spontaneously immersive musical experience where anything is possible. Students will be given the tools to create their own short musical skit-shows in the classroom, allowing them to embrace the unexpected that lies within their own creativity.”
Please enjoy these photos of students participating in activities including creating their own animal-inspired march, and “human sampler” which explores how students can create and order sounds to emulate an electronic sampler.
Choir is also gearing up for a performance at the End of Term Assembly. Here they are getting set up on the stage and finding the right lighting for their performance!
