Mr. Carlyle's Message

Hello Families and welcome to this week's newsletter.

Is Your Child Enrolled for 2026?

If you have a child starting school next year, now is the perfect time to check that their enrolment is complete! We’re excited to launch our new Prep transition program, ‘Ballan Little Learners’, designed to help children feel confident, connected, and ready for school. This program will commence shortly and is available to all enrolled 2026 Foundation students. To ensure your child doesn't miss out on this valuable experience, please contact the school office to confirm their enrolment or to collect an enrolment pack.  Alternatively, enrollment forms can be found on our website here

School Uniform Reminders

Generally, twice a year, we make an effort to reaffirm our uniform expectations. Generally, this happens as we change from warm to cold weather and vice versa.  School leadership made an effort this week to speak with all our middle and senior students regarding a few uniform items.

• The first was appropriate school shorts.  Footy shorts, or branded sports shorts with team or association logos are not school uniform.  Plain Navy or dark shorts are the preferred option.

Winter jackets were next on the agenda, reminding students that, as we head into winter, warm winter jackets, e.g. puffer jackets, are acceptable in the yard.

Jewellery such as necklaces, bracelets, and bangles are not permitted under our uniform policy.

Legwear, navy or dark tracksuit pants, are the preferred uniform items.  Leggings and tights are in our uniform policy, but are intended to be worn under a dress or pinafore. Leggings and active wear on their own are not permitted.  The emphasis is on appropriate loose-fitting legwear at primary school.

Our Uniform and Dress Code policy can be found here on our website.
