Wellbeing Report

As we near the end of term, we have a lot to celebrate. Our Year 6 leaders participated in a Leadership Workshop where they worked collaboratively to plan whole school experiences which they will facilitate at our end of term celebration. They were also put outside of their comfort zone, worked with a variety of peers and had a lot of fun. I am very proud of our amazing school leaders.

This fortnight in Wellbeing, we have been looking at Aboriginal perspectives, focussing on the ways sharing is valued throughout different cultures. Our juniors have also been looking at their family tree and celebrating our similarities and differences. Our seniors have been ‘respect advisors’, giving advice and feedback on different scenarios. It has been a pleasure watching the respect and empathy grow in each and every student at Millwarra Primary School.

Our gratitude this fortnight celebrates the things in our local community. We had multiple students show gratitude towards the river we are so blessed to live near, sharing stories of floating down the river with their families. Some students also love visiting the snow at Mt Donna Buang in winter, riding their bikes along the incredible trails, and also the simple wonders of the world, like the rainbows that spread across our skies.

These watercolour artworks are displayed at each campus if you’d like to see what your child is grateful for.
