St Roch’s School theme 2026:

"United in Faith, Sharing the Light"

Dear Families,

Welcome to Issue 5 for 2026 of our iNewsletter! We hope this newsletter continues to keep you up to date with all the news, events and learning that happens at St Roch's.

Professional Learning

The recent VACPSP Conference, “Nourish Your Purpose,” was a soul-stirring experience that underscored the profound weight and wonder of leading within Catholic education. It wasn't just a meeting of minds; it was a professional and spiritual recharge that left Nadine and I feeling seen, supported and ready to serve. Sincere thanks to our amazing staff for holding the fort whilst we were away, especially our Leadership Team and Louise Bolton for ensuring our school is led with integrity, care and compassion.

Volunteer & Parent Helper Training

Congratulations to all parents who came to our Volunteer and Parent Helper Training Sessions. We are truly grateful to you all for supporting our school and being a part of your child's/children's education and events. Thank you to Nadine Bolton, Rachel Gray and Toni Allen for leading the sessions. We look forward to welcoming you all to our classrooms and events in Term 2.

Year 4 Assembly

Congratulations to our Year 4 students and to Teresa for the entertaining and highly engaging assembly on Friday. Staff and parents were thoroughly entertained. The Year 4 students spoke so clearly and confidently and were so excited to share their Sovereign Hill Camp experience with everyone.

As we reach the conclusion of a vibrant and productive Term 1, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to our families for your ongoing partnership and support. This term has been a season of growth and discovery and it is wonderful to see our students flourishing within our community. As we transition into the school holidays, we enter the most sacred time of our liturgical calendar. I wish you all a blessed and holy Easter.

May the joy of the Resurrection bring hope and renewal to your homes. Whether you are traveling or enjoying a quiet break, I hope these next two weeks provide a well-deserved opportunity for rest, reflection and quality time with loved ones.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for the adventures of Term 2.

Warmest regards,

Angie Mastoras

Principal
