Kingborough Council is hosting a great evening on Thursday 20 June in honour of Refugee Week.
The night includes:
- Delicious and authentic Ethiopian food by Queen Sheba Injera.
- Presentation by Arad Nik who has made the journey as a refugee from Southern Iran to make Tasmania his home.
- A very touching documentary set in the suburbs of Sydney which shows the impact one woman’s big heart has had on isolated women from refugee and migrant backgrounds.
Bookings can be made via Humanitix - https://events.humanitix.com/refugee-week-film-and-ethiopian-food
Or call Customer Service on 6211 8200.
The more people that come along the stronger the message that Kingborough is a welcoming place for people from diverse backgrounds.
