If you have a child who is currently in Year 4, and have not yet submitted an enrolment application, please do so by Week 8 of this term.

Sundai Kofu Hosting

In March next year, our Japanese Sister School, Sundai Kofu, are visiting Adelaide with a group of approximately 15 students.

We need your help to host them!

At this stage, the group will be here for 10 days (9 nights) and it would be great for our community to provide a comfortable base for them.

There are some great benefits to hosting a Japanese Study Tour student, including:

  • You and your family making a new international friend and connection, so that you could perhaps stay with them in Japan in the future.
  • Improving your Japanese (if you’re a Japanese student) by having the opportunity to speak Japanese with your guest.
  • Learning about another country, culture, language and people and gaining a heightened sense of appreciation and gratitude for your own.
  • Sharing your family life and parts of our wonderful city and region with an international guest.
  • Your family will be compensated $60 per night per student.
  • Your Japanese guest will be incredibly grateful for whatever you offer and provide.

If you are interested, please email me at alex.kropf@endeavour.sa.edu.au or email the external coordinator, Tamie Bui at info@ocec.com.au or call her

on 0404 344 245.

I hope you can help us out with hosting our Japanese guests!
