Australian Space Agency - Enrichment
A recent Middle Years' enrichment excursion to the Australian Space Agency provided students with an unforgettable hands-on experience that extended far beyond the walls of the classroom. Participating in a mission planning workshop, students were immersed in a dynamic, real-world scenario that combined science, technology, geography, and design to create a satellite.
The workshop began with an engaging presentation outlining the fundamentals of Earth observation and satellite function. Students were introduced to a new and unfamiliar design process model, which they then applied as they worked in teams to tackle a simulated mission.
Across structured phases, students designed satellites and planned the logistics of satellite launch and operation.

Endeavour Drama Students Witness the Magic of Live Theatre
Last week, a group of very lucky Endeavour College Drama students had the unforgettable opportunity to attend the Broadway musical production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. And what a night it was.
From the moment the curtain rose, students were completely swept away by the dazzling spectacle, breathtaking vocals, and pure theatrical magic that only Disney can deliver. For many, this was their first time seeing a show of this scale, and it did not disappoint. There were gasps, laughter, and even a few tears as the story unfolded on stage in all its grandeur.
One student summed it up perfectly: “It didn’t even feel real, it was just so beautiful.”
Our Senior Drama students also had the chance to experience another powerful production: Looking for Alibrandi. Based on the groundbreaking novel by Melina Marchetta, the stage adaptation brought new life to a story that has resonated deeply with generations of Australians.
The play was moving, honest, and refreshingly current — a bold reminder of the complexities of teenage identity, cultural heritage, and the struggle of being seen as “the other” while trying to navigate high school and the uncertainty of the future.
These two very different theatrical experiences, one filled with Disney magic and the other with raw, relatable truth, reminded us why live theatre is so vital. It moves us, connects us, and challenges us to see the world from new perspectives.
We’re incredibly fortunate to have a Drama department that creates opportunities like this for our students, opportunities that spark inspiration, broaden horizons, and create memories that last long after the final curtain call.

Year 8 Art Excursion to the Art Gallery of South Australia
Our Year 8 Art students recently embarked on an inspiring excursion to the Art Gallery of South Australia. For the majority of the students, this was their first ever trip to an Art Gallery. The group explored the Gallery’s collection of early Australian landscape paintings, with a focus on works by renowned artists Tom Roberts, Arthur Streeton and Fredrick McCubbin.
The students were guided through the galleries showcasing the Heidelberg School and spent time seeing for themselves how these painters captured the Australian environment.
This visit provided students with the opportunity to connect their classroom painting practice to real artworks and deepen their understanding of landscape painting techniques. Whilst this excursion was a whirlwind, it left many students with a desire to return.

SACSA Soccer
This week Endeavour sent four teams of
Year 7-10 students to the SACSA Soccer Tournament.
Our Year 7/8 girls played brilliantly, winning, and drawing all of their group stage games. They made the semi-final, unfortunately losing 1-0 with that being their only loss of the day, finishing in 3rd place.
The Year 7/8 boys went lost just one game in group stage, making it to semi-final, which they narrowly lost finishing the day 4th overall.
On day 2 we sent out Year 9/10 teams.
The girls were competitive with some high-quality opponents but weren’t quite able to get over the line in their matches. They drew their final game to finished equal 7th overall.
The Year 9/10 boys went undefeated in the group stage with multiple wins and draws earning their spot in the semi-final in which they drew to the eventual champions but due to finishing second in their group they were unable to make it to the grand final.
They then drew their third-place playoff to finish equal 3rd overall.
We are so proud of all our soccer players and student coaches for their commitment throughout the term, and a thanks to the staff who gave up their lunchtimes and day to make these carnivals possible.
