St Brigid's School Review

At the beginning of Term 3, St Brigid’s participated in our School Review, which proved to be an extremely positive experience for all stakeholders across our community. Two weeks ago, our Leadership Team took part in the Dialogue and Engagement Day, where our reviewer, Craig Tanner, presented his findings to the team and members of MACS. It was wonderful to see the hard work of our school community over the past four years acknowledged and celebrated. Last Thursday, our leadership team worked offsite alongside MACS staff to translate these recommendations into a new four-year plan, which we look forward to sharing with the community in the coming weeks.

This is an exciting milestone for our school. As we celebrate our achievements over the last four years, we are eager to build on this strong foundation to ensure even greater success for everyone, especially our students.

Prime Minister’s Spelling Bee

Last week, Inara (Grade 5/6) participated in the State Level of the Prime Minister’s Spelling Bee. We are extremely proud of how she embraced this experience and took on the challenge of competing at the next level of the competition. The words were exceptionally tricky, even Mrs Ripp had trouble with some of the definitions and spellings, but Inara took it all in her stride and represented St Brigid’s with pride and determination.

Due to the overwhelmingly positive feedback from all participating students, we will definitely add this event to our school calendar again next year. Certificates will be presented at an assembly next term.

Premier’s Reading Challenge

Well done, St Brigid’s! The Premier’s Reading Challenge has officially wrapped up, and I am thrilled to share that our students have read over 500 books, with 13 students successfully completing the challenge. What a fantastic achievement! Certificates will be presented at assembly next term as soon as they arrive.
