Mildura Christian College - Most successful school on Show at the Melbourne Royal

Show!

This year Mildura Christian College entered an amazing 85 student entries from art and technology across years Prep to Year 10 into the Melbourne Royal Show.

A large variety of student work was exhibited including painting, drawing, ceramics, photography, collage, textiles and garment construction. Students received many awards and prizes for their work which resulted in the College being awarded with the Janice Gray Memorial Trophy for the most successful school on Show. An incredible achievement for such a small school. This is a great testament to the skill and creativity of our students as well as the passion and hard work of our teacher, Mrs Wheaton.

Mr Tresize and Mrs Wheaton were presented with the trophy at a special luncheon inside the Masterchef Kitchen within the Melbourne Showgrounds.  It was a special occasion and the announcement of MCC winning the title of most successful school on show was met with great excitement.  Many were thrilled that a little country school had won against the much bigger city schools that had won many times over in previous years.

Special congratulations also to Eli Campisi who received a special award for artwork in his category.
