Italian Day 2025!

Wow, wow, wow, che spettacolo. We had such a fantastic day on Tuesday! The children began the day with an unbelievable performance by Michelle performing in the show, ‘L’Ingrediente Segreto.’
The show follows secret agent Giacoma Bonda as she conducts the ultimate search to find the secret ingredient to Nonna’s famous Bolognese! We go all around Italy including visiting Venice, Il Colosseo, Milano and Pinocchio’s Workshop trying to find Nonna. With the help of the children we were able to solve the mystery. I hope you all now know what the segreto ingrediente was? AMORE- Love!
After recess, students were immersed in many different activities ranging from: Tombola (Italian Bingo!), Bocce, Gelato craft, Leaning Tower of Pisa craft as well as making their very own Grissini biscuits.
The children had a shared lunch together in the Padua where they had flat bread pizza, their own hand made Grissini and most importantly gelato!
After lunch, students continued with their crafts while listening to traditional Italian music. Children also received a yummy pack of Savoiardi biscuits!
All in all, the day could not have gone any better (we did have a surprise fire truck visit!)
I wish to thank all of our wonderful St Anthony’s staff who all helped to make the day a great success, and of course our wonderful students. Michelle commented on the students' involvement during the show, and how well they knew the language.
È un vero piacere insegnare Italiano in questa meravigliosa scuola!
