Confirmation

What a joyous weekend it was for our community. On Sunday,  we celebrated the beautiful Sacrament of Confirmation with twenty five of our students and catechist children from the Parish. The church was filled with a spirit of hope and excitement as our young people took this important step on their faith journey, surrounded by their families, sponsors, and the entire parish community.

The candidates confirmed the promises made at their Baptism, with a personal "yes" to a life of faith. During the solemn mass, Father Joby laid his hands on each candidate and anointed them with the sacred oil of chrism, bestowing upon them the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

A Heartfelt Thank You

We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who helped make this weekend so special. Thank you to the parents and guardians who have nurtured the faith of their children from the very beginning. A special thank you to all the sponsors who have journeyed with the candidates as a guide in the Catholic Faith. Thank you to our teachers; Mrs Hudson and Mrs Drury as well as our Catechists; Christina and Hyacinth who taught and prepared the candidates with such dedication. We also thank Mr Sharp and Ms Drossaert who supported the candidates by attending the Mass, the Kolio Family Choir and the altar servers. We extend our gratitude to Father Joby for celebrating the Mass and confirming our young people and Deacon Mario for concelebrating.

This is not an end, but a new beginning. We pray that our newly confirmed young people; Kanishan, Wiktoria, Natasha, Ella M, Dihain, Grace, Harry, Ella P, Sofia, Lea, Gwen, Reshan, Giselle, Dominic and Annastashia will always feel the Holy Spirit's presence in their lives and be a light for others in their families, schools, and beyond.
