E-Safety Holy Family Online Safety Hub

At Holy Family, we have our very own e-safety hub, which can empower families with information about supporting their families.

Quite often, schools will be notified about events that happen outside school hours. Whilst we do not mind supporting students, having expectations that it can be stopped by the school outside those hours is unreasonable.
This is a community focus. It needs all families to work together. If you don't know what your children are doing online, it is the same as not knowing where your students have gone for a walk to. The reality is, that the things we want to keep our children safe from outside, are the exact things that could be occurring inside.
We provide this support for our families. However, the best way to keep your children save is be curious. Find out about the games they are playing. The second success point is having clear boundaries for the device use. You can set up your own agreement for use that you deem acceptable. This is a great starter for setting that up: https://hfdoveton.onlinesafetyhub.com.au/staff/resources/creating-a-screen-routine
It is not if an issue will happen, it is more likely when. If they seek help, that is awesome. Work together to resolve it. This site, will have many answers, along with the esafety commissioner, esafety.gov.au
Keeping our kids safe is everyone's business.
