Welcome back to all of our families for the start of an exciting new school year at Langwarrin Park Primary School. It has been wonderful to see students returning with enthusiasm, reconnecting with friends and building relationships with their new teachers.
At the beginning of the year, one of our whole school wellbeing focuses is our THRIVE program. THRIVE underpins our wellbeing approach and focuses on building strong relationships, emotional regulation skills, resilience. Throughout the term, students will participate in structured THRIVE activities, that link to the THRIVE diaries, and are designed to strengthen connection, promote positive behaviour and set clear expectations for a successful year of learning.
To support our THRIVE program, all students will be using their THRIVE diaries throughout the year. Each week, students’ complete activities that help them better understand and connect with the THRIVE acronym and what it looks like in action at school.
Did you know our THRIVE diaries aren’t just for students; they also include helpful parent resources at the back. These are designed to support you in reinforcing THRIVE at home and strengthening the home–school partnership. We encourage you to take a look at the resource “10 Powerful Ways to Help Your Child” and “Helping your Children Thrive” for some practical and positive ideas.
We look forward to working in partnership with you to ensure every child feels supported and ready to THRIVE in 2026.
