Dear Sacred Heart Community,

Well what a week that was! 

They say that schools are busy places and this week proved beyond doubt that this is true. After a most wonderful night last Friday night (a massive thanks to the P & F for organising) where the school gathered for a Film Night at school, our Scared Heart community had the weekend to breathe! 

On Monday the senior part of the school gathered at the Coburg Athletics track to participate in our zone Athletics Carnival.  Congratulations to both Viraj (discus) and Kaone (200 metres) for going through to the next level!

Tuesday arrived and with that did our fantastic Book Week Book Fair. Our students were given a 'Wish List' where they wrote what literature and paraphernalia they would love to purchase. Lots of great discussion was had, lists were drawn up, parents were placed on the spot!

Wednesday saw the most wonderful day possible ~ the celebration of Book Week with our whole school Book Parade was brilliantly participated by our engaging students. The usual suspects were in attendance; Harry Potter and Hermoine, Spiderman and Superman, gladiators and superheroes, as well as detainees from Sacred Heart, and even a human Rubik's cube! 

Thursday arrived and Plushie Day arrived as well with all sorts of cuddlies small and large, with finally our wonderful Year 3/4 students leading our Whole School Assembly, where we gathered to hear about student learning and student achievement.

Learning Support Officers ~  Emma Beilharz  

Continuing with our series on our wonderful, amazing and hard working Learning Support Officers, we give a shout out this week to Emma, who works in the Year 5/6 area supporting students and teachers. A few weeks ago I was privileged to witness the senior students give praise to Emma and the love and respect shown to her by the group as a whole was incredibly impressive. Thanks Emma for all you do with supporting our students at Sacred Heart!
