Classroom News/Celebrations

On Tuesday, we had 6 students represent our school at the Division Athletics Carnival held at Goldsworthy Reserve. All 6 students showed great dedication in attending lunchtime trainings in the lead up to the carnival to give themselves the best preparation possible. 

We had some fantastic results for all the students who were competing against the very best athletes across the Geelong region.

The results are as follows:

Hunter D (6A)- 2nd (9.13m): 12/13-year-old boys shot put

Paddy D (Batesford)- 3rd (8.16m): 9/10-year-old boys shot put 

Milena S (6B)- 3rd (17.05m): 12/13-year-old girls discus 

Madi C (5B)- 3rd on a countback (the height she jumped was the same as 1st place so very unlucky not to progress- 1.20m): 11-year-old girls high jump

Aviaan A (5B)- 4th (24.34m) 9/10-year-old boys discus

Annabella H (5A)- 8th (3.14m): 11-year-old girls long jump

A big congratulations to Hunter who has qualified for the Regional Athletics Carnival held at Keilor Park Athletics Track on Tuesday 20th October!
