Learning Conversations and PSG Meetings

We warmly invite all families to attend our upcoming Learning Conversations. These are taking place on Wednesday July 29th and Tuesday 4th August, 3:30 pm – 6 :00 pm.

These meetings provide a valuable opportunity to celebrate your child’s achievements, discuss their progress, and work together to support their next steps in learning.  Learning Conversation appointments can be booked via the SIMON Everywhere app or alternatively you can contact the office.

A special feature of these conversations is that students will be actively involved in sharing their learning. They will have work samples on display and will talk about their experiences, successes, goals, and areas they are working to improve. This gives students an important opportunity to reflect on their learning and take pride in their accomplishments.

We also have PSGs coming up in Weeks 4 and 5. These are taking place on Tuesday 4th & Thursday 6th August, Tuesday 11th, Wednesday 12th & Thursday 13th August, 8:30am-3:15pm.

These meetings provide an important opportunity to discuss the Personal Learning Plan, specific adjustments, targeted interventions and progress made towards learning goals for those students who receive support related to their disability.  If you are required to book a PSG appointment you will receive an SMS from the school.  PSG appointments can be booked via the SIMON Everywhere app or alternatively you can contact the office .

  • Please note if your child needs a PSG meeting you do not need to book a Learning Conversation

When families attend school meetings, children see that their learning is valued and supported by the important adults in their lives. Research consistently shows that students achieve better outcomes when schools and families work together and maintain open communication. Your attendance sends a powerful message that you are interested in and committed to your child’s education.

Please contact your child's teacher or Lill Daley, Learner Diversity Leader, if you have any questions.

NAPLAN

Students who participated in NAPLAN earlier this year, will today bring home their results in a sealed envelope. There is an accompanying letter and information sheet for parents/carers. Information about how to read the Individual Student Report can also be viewed by following this link - Reading the NAPLAN Individual Student Report

If any parents/carers would like to discuss these results, they can make an appointment to see their child's classroom teacher.
