Gospel Reading – The Parable of the Mustard Seed
Matthew 13:31–32
“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that someone took and sowed in his field. It is the smallest of all the seeds, but when it has grown it is the greatest of shrubs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.”
Summary
Jesus uses the tiny mustard seed to remind us that even the smallest acts of kindness, courage, and faith can make a big difference. A simple smile, helping a classmate, standing up for someone who is left out, or taking time to pray may seem small at the time, but these actions can grow into something much bigger. Just as the mustard seed becomes a large tree that provides shelter for others, our small choices to love and care for people can create stronger friendships, happier communities, and a world that reflects God's love.

Prayer
Loving God,
Thank you for reminding us that small things can make a big difference. Help us to plant seeds of kindness, hope, and love in the lives of those around us. Give us the courage to do what is right, even when our actions seem small. May our words and actions grow to bring joy, peace, and hope to others, so that we can help build your Kingdom every day.
