Kids Helpline's Largest Anti-bullying Lesson
Our School Joins the Largest Anti-Bullying Lesson with Kids Helpline
We are proud to announce that our school will be participating in the largest anti-bullying lesson, run by Kids Helpline. This special 30-minute session is designed for our K-6 students and focuses on promoting kindness, respect, and resilience among all students.
This initiative aligns with the Bullying No Way! National Week of Action, a significant event aimed at raising awareness and taking a stand against bullying in schools across Australia. By participating, our students will learn:
K-2: how words can be a superpower, hear real stories of how to stop bullying and practice what to say to mean comments.
3-6: how to use their power for good, including real-life stories and an easy, age-appropriate strategy to shut down bullying.
We encourage parents and carers to learn more about this important initiative by visiting the NSW Department of Education’s website: Bullying No Way: National Week of Action
Opt-Out Information
Participation in this virtual lesson is encouraged, but not compulsory. If you do not wish for your child to join the Kids Helpline anti-bullying lesson, please email the school office by Friday 14 August, stating your child’s name and class. Your child will be provided with an alternative activity during this time.
Together, we can help build a community where every child feels safe, valued, and respected.
