Congratulations to our Weekly Good Reader raffle winners - Madeleine May, Isla Dolan and Thomas Taylor - keep up the great borrowing!

There were some overdue notices sent home this week, as we still quite a few books outstanding from over the holidays. If you could please return any books, replace any lost books, or let us know if there are any issues - that would be very much appreciated!

Story Lines 2026

Let your imagination shine in our 2026 Story Lines Competition! If you're aged 5 to 16 and live, study, or play in the City of Kingston, we’d love to read your original story or poem.

Key entry information

• Entries open: Monday 13 July 2026
• Entries close: Sunday 20 September 2026
• Winners announced: 4pm, Friday 20 November 2026
• Age categories: 5–7, 8–10, 11–13 and 14–16
• Word limit: Strictly 500 words
• Theme: Your choice!
• Entry fee: Free

You can download an entry form and enter online - or come and see us in the library and we can print out a form.

Congratulations to the 27 students who have already completed the Premier's Reading Challenge! There are still 43 days left to keep reading, so don't forget to add those books!
