School Sports - What's Happening

DIVISIONAL CROSS COUNTRY - FRIDAY 22ND MAY

Holy Rosary is excited to for the upcoming Division Cross Country at the Bendigo Racecourse, where our students will compete against the strongest runners from schools across the Bendigo region.

 

Following our school cross‑country event, the top 5 boys and top 5 girls from Grades 3 to 6 will represent our school at the Divisional Cross Countr. We congratulate all selected students and wish them the very best as they prepare for this major event.

 

To support their preparation, we encourage all selected students to be practising their running in the lead‑up to race day. As part of this, we will be holding school cross‑country training sessions each Wednesday, giving students the chance to build fitness, practise pacing, and work together as a team.

 

The Division Cross Country will take place on Friday 22nd May, and a PAM note has been sent to families with further details about the day.

SEDA SPORTS CLINICS - STARTING THURSDAY 28TH MAY

We are excited to welcome SEDA College to our school for a series of energetic and engaging sports clinics running on Thursdays in Weeks 6, 7 and 8, beginning May 28. Each class will participate in a one‑hour session led by SEDA students, giving our students the chance to build skills, stay active, and enjoy a variety of sporting activities.

 

Thursday Session Schedule (weeks 6,7 and 8)

  • 9:00–10:00am – Session 1: Foundation
  • 10:00–11:00am – Session 2: Grade 3 and 4
  • 11:45am–12:45pm – Session 3: Grade 1 and 2
  • 12:45–1:45pm – Session 4: Grade 5 and 6

 

Uniform Reminder - Students are asked to wear their sports uniform each Thursday to ensure they can participate safely and comfortably.

 

We look forward to seeing all students get involved and enjoy this fantastic sporting opportunity.
