K-10 Cross Country
On Friday 27th March St Philomena's hosted their first whole school Cross Country in Jellicoe Park. The day was filled with lots of cheering, sportsmanship and of course running. Students got right into the spirit with many costumes and dress-ups, ensuring a bright and colourful day. It was great to see so many students giving the course a go and representing their houses across all ages.
Congratulations to the Age Champions, Runners Up, Dio Team and all participating students on a very successful day.
NSW Catholic Primary School Swimming
After his competitive swim at the Diocesan Swimming Carnival in February, Corey Lai earned himself a spot on the Diocesan Swimming Team for the 100m Freestyle event at the Polding Carnival. On Wednesday 1st April, Corey swam at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre in Homebush. We are very proud of Corey and his effort in such a famous and large arena.

Secondary ACS Touch Football
On Thursday 26th March, selected secondary students travelled to Inverell for the annual Diocesan trials. The day was filled with many games of Touch, plenty of competitiveness and some impressive skills. A special mention to Mrs Finlayson and Miss Anderson for accompanying the students on the day. We are extremely proud to announce the following students gained selection into the Dio team and will represent the Armidale Diocese next term. Congratulations to: Marley Swan, Shaylyn Smith, Jaydah Duncan and Naylarnii Munro.
