Principal's Report

Mrs D. Donatiello

Dear Students, Parents and Carers,

As we continue our commitment to fostering a positive, safe, and respectful learning environment, I would like to take this opportunity introduce everyone to the Student Code of Conduct. This document was sent out through School Bytes at the beginning of Term 2 Week 7 and is essential in setting out the expectations we have for student behaviour to ensure our school remains a supportive and inclusive community.

What is the Student Code of Conduct?

The Student Code of Conduct outlines the behaviours expected from all students while at school and during school-related activities. It promotes respect, responsibility, fairness, and safety, enabling every student to learn and thrive.

Key Principles:

  • Respect for Others: Treating peers, teachers, and community members with kindness and consideration.
  • Responsibility: Being accountable for one’s actions and contributing positively to the school environment.
  • Safety: Ensuring that our actions do not put ourselves or others at risk.
  • Integrity: Upholding honesty and fairness in all interactions.

Our Shared Responsibility

Creating a respectful and safe school culture depends on all of us working together. Students are encouraged to understand and follow the code. Parents and caregivers play a critical role in supporting these expectations at home, reinforcing respectful and responsible behaviour.

Supporting Positive Behaviour

The school provides support for students to develop social and emotional skills, helping them to make positive choices. When expectations are not met, consistent and fair consequences are applied in line with the code, aiming to guide students back on track and maintain a positive environment for all. Our PB4L expectations will support the Student Code of Conduct.

Looking Ahead

We will continue to engage our school community through information sessions and newsletters, ensuring everyone understands the importance of the Student Code of Conduct and feels supported in adhering to it.

Thank you for your ongoing support in making our school a place where all students can succeed and feel valued.

Warm regards,

Dianne Donatiello
